A late turn of the century beautifully proportioned 10 Bore bar action sidelock toplever Hammer Gun. Fine laminated 31 inch Damascus choked barrels. Full pistol grip highly figured walnut stock. Detailed crisp game scene & scroll engraving. Weight 9 1/2 lbs. Clabraugh specialised in large scale fine guns. They were very popular in America and had an agent and shop in San Francisco. This gun appears to have had very little use and is in a lovely, original condition. Probably one of the finest 10 Bore hammer guns I've seen. We have recently London nitro-proofed it to 2 7/8 inch chambers from it's original black powder 3 1/2 gram specification.

A very special bar-in-wood Purdey top-lever hammer gun. 30 inch fine Damascus barrels. This gun was completely refurbished by Purdey for the original family owner in the 1950s. It has remained, until quite recently, with the family and has seen very little use. It is without a doubt one of the finest Purdey hammer guns available and comes in a presentation case with all tools and accessories. Price POA.

Every gun collector should have a Manton. This very fine double-barrel percussion sporting gun by John Manton & Sons, London, circa 1844 has 30 inch fine twist Demascus barrels, fine engraving with game scene. A well figured walnut half stock, with pineapple finial and Manton patent grip safety. In a lovely, quite original condition. This fine Manton is very close in Serial No. to the pair sold at Holts which were the property of HRH Prince Albert. Great fun to shoot.

A very late 27,000 series James Purdey & Sons self-opening sidelock ejector. Full original colour hardening with crisp classic Purdey scroll engraving. 27 inch steel barrels, and a set of 30 inch teagued Purdey barrels. Exhibition 15 inch walnut straight hand stock with leather covered pad. This gun is in an as-new condition, and has seen little use. It represents teriffic value against the price of the new Purdey, and whilst being a beautiful gun to enjoy and shoot, will certainly be a worthwhile investment.
